One person that typifies this is Ian. He has been using SOL Connect for the past year yet doesn’t have a hub or medication dispenser or any other cutting edge equipment that SOL Connect can provide. He uses SOL Connect in a way that suits him.
The Connect team call Ian a couple of times a day, when his SOL team aren’t in his home, to make sure that he’s safe, in the form of a welfare call, and just to have a friendly voice at the other end of the phone to talk to about his day.
Ian said “My support team are brilliant but when they’re not in my home then I use the marvellous SOL Connect. They call me at certain points during the day to have a bit of a chat and to make sure that I am okay. They remind me to do things such as making sure that my kitchen appliances have been turned off.
Once they couldn’t get in touch with me and before I knew it I had a member of the SOL Connect team at my door just to make sure that I was okay. They not only offer a great service but they are also really nice people.”
