Our history is as important as the work we do today.
Our organisation began its work when institutions like Lennox Castle, Birkwood and Kirklands hospitals were being decommissioned in the late 90’s. We supported people, some who had lived in hospital for over 40 years, to take their rightful place as citizens in communities across North Lanarkshire. We are proud of our part in the hospital closure program and have learned valuable lessons from the experiences of the people we served.
We now work across North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire. Today we face a different set of challenges from those we faced in the 90’s, but we face those challenges with the same beliefs and principles and optimism as we did back then.
