We recently joined in with the fun of SCLD’s Learning Disability Week by holding our Communi-Tea Party!

The Communi-Tea Party was a coffee morning where friends, old and new, could meet for a cuppa and a chat. The event took place in SOL’s Wishaw office on Thursday 15th May, during Learning Disability Week.

This year’s Learning Disability Week theme was ‘community’ – whoever we are and where ever in Scotland we live, we can all be part of a community. Communities are at their best when everyone is active in their community, connected to people within their community, and feels included by their community.

As the event was such a great success we are currently discussing about making our Communi-Tea Party a regular event. We will let everyone know as soon as the decision has been made.
