SOL Connect win award at Holyrood Events Digital Health and Care Awards 2022
We had cause to celebrate recently when SOL Connect won the Technology Enabled Independent Living Award at the Holyrood Events Digital Health and Care Awards 2022.
This was Holyrood Connect’s 5th annual Digital Health and Care Awards. The awards recognise the achievements of the individuals and teams working in the health and social care sector whose creativity and innovation continues to put Scotland at the forefront of the digital revolution. The category that SOL Connect won celebrates the individuals and organisations from across health, social care, housing and the third sector, who are embracing technology to support more people to live independently.
This was a highly prestigious award to win and it’s one that we’re very proud of. We were up against some really stiff competition so it’s a real testament to the phenomenal job that SOL Connect does on a daily basis. They are a motivated, dedicated and passionate team that always look to empower people to take control of their lives through technology.
Our Director, Donna Thompson, attended the event and she commented:
“I’m immensely proud of the achievements of SOL Connect in winning the Technology Enabled Independent Living Award at the Holyrood Events Digital Health and Care Awards 2022.
We have worked really hard over the past 10 years to develop our unique technology enabled care service and I’m extremely proud of the achievements of SOL Connect in winning this fantastic award.
We brought the award back for the amazing SOL Connect team and that’s everyone from the Advisors, the Managers, the Responders and the TEC team. They all deserve this so much; it’s been phenomenal teamwork. I’m so proud of everyone and delighted to receive national recognition for all of our hard work.
Thanks to everyone who has come on this journey with us over the last 10 years.”
The Role of Technology Enabled Care
This award highlights the valuable role that technology can have in supporting people to achieve the things that they want to do in their lives, as well as the important role the highly trained team at SOL Connect have in delivering this ground-breaking form of support. The award also recognises that a relatively small organisation, such as SOL Connect, can play an important part in championing the use of technology enabled care as an alternative form of support.
Well done to the whole SOL Connect team for this magnificent achievement.
