About the role

Role modelling the best person centred care and support, Senior Support Workers will ensure that people are supported by their teams, in line with their needs and wishes. The Senior Support Worker role consists of 30 hours working within teams which will be paid at £9.50 per hour and 7 hours facilitating senior duties which will be paid at £11.00 per hour.

Along with the key responsibilities of support workers, Senior Support Workers will:

• Observe the practice of team members to ensure this is in line with best practice
• Ensure actions from Spot Checks are implemented
• Ensure teams Medication Practice is in line with best practice and that all associated paperwork is in place and in order
• Ensure all paperwork relevant to peoples support needs is in place and up to date
• Act as a first point of contact for team member’s enquiries
• Provide 6 weekly update reports to Practice Leaders
• Accompany Practice Leaders to reviews
• Contribute to the development of outcome based support plans and ensure people are supported in line with these
• Introduce new staff to the people we support by shadowing with them following their induction
