Since November last year we’ve had a new team of ‘Mobile Support Assistants’ working within the organisation. This team works with the smaller pop in services within SOL. They provide support to the people we work for during key times of the day for example at meal times or when the person requires medication.

As this has been a new way of working for the organisation, there has been a lot of planning taking place which the team have been invaluable with. They have been trialling rotas and working in a very self directed way by ensuring they organise cover for annual leave and any sickness within the team.

The team has shown a massive amount of resilience and dedication to the people we work for while overcoming the challenges that come from working in a new way. Their hard work and commitment have ensured that this new role has been a resounding success.
