SOLWAY Training

Support for Ordinary Living Work Access for You (SOLWAY) offers a unique training programme designed to give the skills and awareness required to support an individual into the working environment. 

Our 2-day programme is suited to Service Managers and Support Workers in any organisation that appreciates how Supported Employment is a key factor in allowing the people they support the full expression of their rightful presence within the life and culture of their community. 

The course is both informative and fun, covering the following key areas:

•  Roles and expectations
•  Theories and definitions
•  Dealing with referrals
•  Personal profiling
•  Searching for Employment
•  Job Coaching
•  Case studies and presentations

This training programme will be adapted to suit the needs of individual organisations and businesses. If any specific aspect of the training requires greater emphasis or intensity of input, the programme can be tailored accordingly.

At the highly competitive rate of £150 per person (based on 12 attending), the cost includes all hospitality and the following: 

•  2 days training
•  1 day refresher as required
•  3 months consultancy support from the SOLWAY team
